My son has given me the inspiration to be a strong and independent individual because I want to set a good example for him.
When did you start getting serious about sports? I have always loved volleyball and tennis and have played since my teens.
What sports did/do you play? Volleyball and tennis are my favorites, by far.
What was your greatest moment running track and playing basketball? I didn’t like track until a few years ago, but since then I have been running religiously. I play basketball for fun with friends and family.
What do you do to stay fit? I usually run twice a week along with strength training and I do Pilates three days a week with a two-day break on the weekends.
What type of music do you listen to when you workout? I love to listen to Benny Benassi because his music always has an uplifting/steady beat.
What other skills do you have? I am a good writer(I write gaming/tech articles for a men’s magazine), and I can sing decently well ha!
What do you eat for nutrition? I eat a lot of vegetables, fruits, and lean protein… spinach, quinoa, lentils, edamame, grilled chicken, fish, fresh berries, and bananas. I also don’t deprive myself… if I want chocolate then I will eat a handful of M&Ms or a scoop of ice cream.
How do you prepare your meal daily? I prefer to eat fresh food, so I cook each of my meals at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I boil my vegetable and bake or grill the lean meats. Sometimes, I will blend my fruits with yogurt to make a smoothie for a snack on the go.
What motivates you to workout? My career as a model, most definitely, gives me motivation to workout… But I also do it to feel good about myself and to give me energy for my busy days.
What do you do to prepare for running track or playing basketball? It’s important to warm up before running and playing basketball by walking or jogging for about 10 minutes to get the blood flowing through your muscles.
How much and what types of cardio do you do? I like to run about 2 miles but if it’s too cold to run the track then I will do indoor cardio that consists of jumping jacks, jump squats, burpees, kickboxing, butt kicks, high knees, and scissor kicks. The indoor cardio routine usually takes me about 50 minutes.
What is your favorite healthy food? I love quinoa because it’s so versatile and is so high in protein.
What’s your favorite junk food? Chocolate 🙂

What is your greatest weakness? Chocolate and wine are my weaknesses.
What workout plan work best for you? There are 2 videos from Jillian Michaels that I recommend for beginners that got me in shape when I started working out, Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones.
What tips do you have for people new to fitness? I recommend a clean diet with fresh fruits, veggies, and lean proteins. Junk food and processed food should be eaten in moderation, such as one scoop of ice cream a day. Also, it’s very important to incorporate at least 30 minutes to an hour of physical activity each day.
Do you have a fitness class or products you sell? I don’t teach a class because of the lack of time but I give my friends and family fitness tips, such as workout plans and diet suggestions.
